Their adventure in love started one fine evening, when the groom went on WeChat to contact his friend. His eyes spotted a beautiful girl on his friend’s profile picture. Then, he contacted his friend and asked for her contact information. About a week later, Benedict sent Ms Shyamala a text message which included an invitation to dinner for the next evening. On the other hand, the text message arrived to Ms Shyamala just after she had stopped over a gas station leaving in the car, her handphone and the mutual friend who had passed along her contact information to Mr Benedict. Ms Shyamala’s friend, pretending to be Ms Shyamala, agreed for the date. When Ms Shyamala returned, her friend told her what she had done and they burst into laughter as it was hilarious.
So the next evening, they meet up at Feringgi Garden Restaurant and had a good flowing conversation. After a few dates, it grew into true love. Ms Shyamala has brought out the best in him by giving him unconditional support. Two years later, they had their grand engagement at Dewan Masyarakat Penyayang, one ring to bind them together.
Very soon on 9th June 2018 was their awaited big day. The summer themed wedding took place at Penang Methodist Church (first Methodist Church in Penang), followed by customized snowy themed reception at Moral Uplifting Society Hall on the same evening. Benedict’s shiny navy blue coat and Shyamala’s customized frozen dress with the sparkles of snow crystals besides the electric blue crown on her long, wavy, brown hair was the highlight of the reception upon the snowy walk-way. The feel of warming up with their family around, the excitement of new beginnings, beautiful snowflakes, artificial snow over the lights and pillars, pretty reindeers, blue chiffon curtains along with snow hanging from the top panels, neon-lit decor trees, enjoying the blasting and some classical musics, performance by dancers and bride’s friends, the colorful fancy clothings, and not to forget the delicious spread of food.
Last but not least, the wonderful fireworks and the blessings, laughters and fun moments with our loved ones. Thank you everyone for making their big day perfect and for capturing the great moments perfectly.
