Kampar (Chinese:金宝）is an interesting small town and now becoming a booming township in the state of Perak, Malaysia. The local Chinese community had the impression it came from the Cantonese word kam pou as it means “precious gold” (referring to the town’s previously large tin reserves).

One moment, one look and one word changed everything. A wedding is a most auspicious occasion .Originally, Islamic solemnization is very simple and straight to the point. All you need is a ‘wali’ (guardian), 2 witnesses, a small amount of ‘mahar’ (dowry) and/or a ring with a small dinner ‘walimah’ (celebration). Now, additional wedding gifts and dowry are expected. Usually ‘akad nikah’ is done the night before the big ‘walimah’ but sometimes, it can squeezed in a day. Bride and groom is officially married after this ceremony. . Our celebrated couple had a traditional Indian muslim Wedding, Akad Nikah at The heritage building – The Kapitan Keling Mosque is one of the best known mosque that built in the 19th century by Indian Muslim traders in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. Followed by small gathering dinner at United Muslim Association (U.M.A) Hall, Transfer Road, Penang, Georgetown and next day, a grand reception was held at Moral Uplifting Hall to welcome as many family and friends came from all around the world were feast to join the bride and groom in celebrating the beginning of a wonderful life together.

“It’s like a dream thinking back of our love story. It’s like it just happened a couple of days ago. We met as young teenagers on the year 2002 by chance and destiny made sure that we came across each other more often. Love bloomed and we have finally tied the knot after more than 10 years of courtship :-).

The Real Commitment Starts Here . . . . .
‘Every time we look and think of each another we both felt something inside of us stirring’…. when we were introduced…although it was brief we still noticed each another but barely had any deep conversation…. like all things, it happened for a reason. Just like all little stories were part of another short story, that eventually become a bigger story. That is our love story started…
As corny as it sounds when we met we just knew we were meant to be together…yet nothing serious turn up as we lived too far apart from each another. But after meeting again we gave things another go and took a step ahead. It became reality when he proposed me with a ring in the temple without any hesitation I said ‘Yesss’…though the first 12 months of our relationship we were long distance apart but it was the period full of wonderful memories that strengthen the relationship…we shared the next step of our relationship with our parents they were so delighted and blessed for our wedding ..
The precious moment came true and it was like a dream as there was a lot of joy laughter fun throughout the preparation … the day arrived having all our parents..families..relatives..friends in one place for a day to witnessed our special day..everything was so perfect and unique, the tension, the nerves, the emotion,the laughter and love by everyone would be hard to beat…
Many thanks to all those who made it to our event …especially the stunning videographers from Digimax crews, the photographers from Vishal and the team and SVN creations who have helped build a special Mandab from India . Also, a special thanks to the helicopter pilots Barry and Faten who have supported in many ways throughout the complicated process.
