It was the morning of a beautiful Saturday, constantly blown by the sea breeze, we had a chance to be a part of a traditional Malay wedding with a twist of a Bollywood theme reception by the beach. This day marks the marriage of Asyraf and Sabrina at Chymes, Penang.
The presence of family and friends to the bride and groom and mesmerizing decorations have made this beautiful Saturday yet a memorable one. Family and friends who came from all around the world were feast
to the Penang food delicacies, good music and most importantly to join the bride and groom in celebrating the beginning of a wonderful life together.
We spoke to the happy couple and here their story….
The bride and groom was first introduced by a dear friend, 2 and a half years ago. From then on, what was first a friendship bloomed into love. The long distance relationship that they had only made their hearts grow fonder as the days past. Early in 2013, the couple was engaged and the wedding date was set. With only a few months to go before the big day, the bride was planning her special day with excitement. Close family and friends were all lending a helping hand. Every detail was carefully planned, decorations were put up, carefully designed door gifts by the sister of the bride was in place, the wedding cake personally crafted by the bride’s

Cinematic wedding highlight of Muslim couple Muiz and Aimi, “The friends who become lovers”
This is a story of a friendship that blooms and merges into love. The story behind these two lovebirds is a story that nobody has ever thought about before for they but they are somehow destined to be together. It is magical!
They met each other many years ago as course mates. It was the time when they both just entered the tertiary education and were preparing themselves for higher education in overseas. That was how they met and knew each other and remained friends ever since, and they had always been just friend and nothing more.
After a few years of preparation, they went separate ways as Muiz went to Australia for his undergraduate study while Aimi went to Germany to study engineering, and that is the end of part one. None of them had any idea that God has planned something better for them in the future and so they continued with their own lives, being in contact just once in a while. Their friendship is merely friendship; they were not even best friends.
Time went by and after almost 6 years, they met each other again at friends’ wedding in Taiping, Perak and they began to get in touch via facebook and even then it was just ‘business’ and nothing more.
Long story short, they got to know each other AGAIN, began to know each other’s families and after a short while, Muiz decided to send his family to go for ‘merisik’. They got engaged for not more than a month and finally tie their knot for the sake of Allah.
It was indeed a surprising news to their friends as nobody really had an idea that they were having a fling.
It took both of them a while but at the end of the day, Muiz and Aimi finally nabbed the person of their dreams. They found the love of their lives in the person of their own girl/guy friend.

We were told it would be an arranged marriage by both families. How she committed to this relationship? Here, she told “Knowing the fact that Jaya M Rao going to be my life partner, I just can’t stand in front of him, nervous and a bit of confusion on our first meeting (arranged by our family). But he, just in a word in front both families, said “I LIKE HER”. Oh my god…my face “blushing”… Few months later, I asked him ‘how confident are you, just in a short period and with little understanding between both? He simply answered: I already decided in my mind & think you as my wife, so nothing else matters.’ His sincerity & honesty along our friendship make me to believe “he is the one for me!” May God grace our relationship till to the end. Then their journey grew well until they got engaged on 14th Sept 2013 followed by ROM on the same day @bride’s Home Sweet Home. They believe on each other as well and say: There is no need to rush, if something is meant to be, it will happen, in the right time, with the right person, for the best reason.

Both family were overwhelmed with joy. Groom’s family booked us for their wedding video shooting. On 15th Dec 2013, Digimax Team arrived timely for video shooting on bride’s make up-session…when we knocked the door, a shocked for us…nearly completed…just without complete saree dress up. OH my god, in my mind… what to capture on make-up process, already done?? The bride just stand with a cool smile :-))..she look so shy, talk less and I knowing her just through Jaya M Rao (Groom’s brother)…haven’t meet and talk a word before…i know she was stressful and maybe “engine not start yet”… But then, Digimax team managed & successfully captured the moments as well. Then only I realized, actually our pretty bride is looking sweet, warm hearted, and was chirpy character as me :-)) In this wedding, there were a lot of moments captured, from laughter to tears and a heartfelt love between the couple, lovely and joyful character from both side family; we wish them a lifetime of happiness.

We have to traveling ,uploading and resetting equipment especially our heavy crane to move from one location to another location….the distance from bride’s getting ready (Shah Alam) to the wedding temple (Brickfields) KL is a quite long distance (45mins). It was a challenging and demanding one however our teams felt happier and contented to complete it smoothly by capturing the couples happy tear moments and a lot candid shot and didn’t missed any shot for their immediate family too.
On such a beautiful occasion, filled with love , with lots of laughter, fun, sweet moments. It was indeed a fun and joyful wedding to film in outstation.
