“Loved our filming in this gorgeous boutique hotel in Penang’s Georgetown with our lovely couple, Chong Zyn & Ruby ! ”
It’s all about ROMANCE this week ! Let us inspire you with beautiful video highlight of Chong Zyn & Ruby.
We had a wonderful and memorable filming with this beautiful couple at MM (Macalister Mansion).
Macalister Mansion is one of the best boutique hotel in Malaysia definately with its nice ambience and atmosphere..Really nice fusion restaurant where west meets east.
Our couple Chong Zyn & Ruby have an unforgettable beautiful , simple and special wedding reception at MM , they want everyone to join in and have a relax environment to have their dinner.
Macalister Mansion is designed around the idea of an old English mansion. It’s Located along the historic Macalister Road, MM promises a quirky and sophisticated new lifestyle destination to relax and unwind…Set amidst a lovingly restored colonial mansion that was built in the early 1900s. The name Macalister Mansion honours Sir Norman Macalister, one of the first British Governors of Penang (then known as Prince of Wales Island) from 1808 – 1810. Sir Norman Macalister also gave his name to Macalister Road, where the boutique hotel is situated.
Although it was a simple wedding but we managed to capture a lot couple’s natural emotions and a lot their closed relatives’s candid shot .
Come on…. Enjoy the beautiful celebration captured, feel the live scene, feel the happiness, feel the most blissful moment of them..

First of all, we would like to thank Sylvester & Doreen who booked us all the way in Australia for their unique event.
Our Groom,Sylvester was born in Brunei and our lovely bride was born in BM, but grew up in Brunei.
Brunei Darussalam, meaning ‘The Abode of Peace’, is a country that many may know as an oil-rich sultanate on the third largest island in the world.
Sylvester & Doreen have an unforgettable beautiful wedding reception at Chin’s Stylish Chinese Cuisine in Church Street Pier, Penang. This was our first time filming in Church Street Pier. We had a great time in this restaurant. Its fine dining Chinese (Fusion) style. The interior was done up extravagantly as if we have travelled into a contemporary-victorian city.
The backdrop of this restaurant is a nice seaview, which is great for friends to gather together. Food is quite interesting and unique compared to usual chinese restaurant. All guests enjoyed the hunnan szechuan cuisine and the ambience. We realy love how the tables were set, each person gets his own uniquely decorated plate !
Lot of people often forget that Penang is, first and foremost a port. It still is a busy one. Port Swettenham on the north of the Weld Quay is now the berthing place for cruise ships as well as ferries to Sumatra and Langkawi. The newly renovated Church Street Pier is now a high end waterfront place of leisure where a century ago, it was the main pier for small boats to unload their cargo.
As the couple exchanged vows in a small civil wedding ceremony a couple of months earlier in Melbourne, they had the most simplest wedding of all here, …Just simple tea ceremony only, NO wedding planner and NO gate crashing.
Doreen told us they just want everyone to join in and have a relax environment to have their dinner. The celebration was joined by friends and family from all over the world including Taiwan, Singapore, China, Australia and Brunei.
Although it was a simple wedding but we managed to capture a lot couple’s natural emotions and a lot their closed relatives’s candid shot .
Don’t forget to watch till the end…The rings shot ! We managed to roll the rings into the glass and have them land perfectly, with the smaller ring within the big one !!
Capturing emotions – the overlooked and the unseen real moments are DIGIMAX’S trademark shots…
It was really the most relaxed, enjoyable and unique filming experience ever !

The title – knot gives a meaning of our long-lengthened tie of love which exists and will last forever and ever.
It symbolizes the constancy and the bond between two lovers.
Wayne & Nichole never met when they were in same secondary school and their story begins only 10 years later at school reunion. Decided to be one of the committee for the event bring the changes for both of them to meet together and know each other. When the fate comes, the story begins…
We were very proud to have a ball at our feet to capture the nicest scene and warmest wedding memories of our lovely couple Wayne & Nichole. The couple told us that ocean blue theme was used because it linked them from the beginning, creating their love memories from times to times until the wedding day. And it continues growing….Beach is the one who made them. They started their story at the beach, not only that, the proposal venue was also at the beach. All the while beach side garden ROM is to be chosen as a form of their reminiscence and recollections of the days spent together. The love story continued and the wedding celebration dinner held at wonderful beach at Penang Lone Pine Hotel where was their proposal venue. Summing up, it is a beach-blued-knot Love which existed.
The sand ceremony was a special one as it included the wedding tree signature board, light-blue small pin wheel and other lovely DIY decorations that both of them spend time together to complete which lift up the wedding atmosphere of the sand ceremony as well as for their wedding reception. There were good food & awesome live music coupled with a fantastic & memorable night. All of the arrangements and the every single happy moment have been carved in every guest’s & both family’s heart forever.
Come on. Enjoy the beautiful celebration captured, feel the live scene, feel the happiness, feel the most blissful moment of them and you will definitely see through the video !!

One of the best day…..”Happily ever after begins here…”
This is the traditional chinese tea ceremony, that was edited and put together on the same day of their wedding, and was premiered live in Equatorial Hotel Ballroom on that night on 04.10.14.
This was a challenging SDE …. Its a tough edit though, as, both the location of the shoots and the location of the hotel for us to do the edit were far apart, and both places are at high traffic zones. We moved our shooting equipment from one location to another location and travel a long distance from Mainland Bukit Tambun to Bukit Mertajam than toward to the reception place EQ in Penang Island… due to tight schedule and raining condition, we started our editing in late evening….
But, nevertheless, with hard work and determination from the entire crew, and when all team members playing their own role, we managed to successfully make it happen once again! …we managed to completed it on time and included couple first match in and cake cutting. this was another successful SDE for DIGIMAX.
After premiering this SDE wedding highlight, we received a thunderous applause and standing ovation from the audience. Especially their best friends walked towards and give me “FIVE” and a hug to us. Besides, their family members also came over to us personally thanking us and feeling greatly satisfied with our performance and our efforts. Thanks to the gorgeous couple HK & PK for such a stunning wedding and their great cooperation with us throughout the filming sessions.

From over 5000 kilometers apart, fate has brought this lovely couple together:
Lin Hu and Pamela both grew up in Penang. Lin Hu is the only son in a family of three siblings. Pamela is the only daughter to her father and also the great grand daughter of one of Penang’s famous philanthropist. (Wedding for her mother’s side was celebrated separately, one week before).
After their high school days, Lin Hu went to study and worked as a chartered accountant in Australia and Pamela went to the UK to study and then worked as a pharmacist in Sabah.
It was two years ago when both came back to Penang to attend their best friend’s (Kheng Lian) wedding at Rasa Sayang Shangri-la. “Things happen when you least expect”. It was love at first sight for Lin Hu. He would never have thought that sitting across from him was the woman he had been searching for all this while.
At the after dinner party, Lin Hu gathered all his courage and surprised Pamela with a bouquet of flowers “from the bride” among their circle of friends and soon their journey began.
Since then they have never been apart whether it is through facetime or visiting each other. It was soon that both returned to Malaysia to live, tie the knot and build their future together. For Pamela, Lin Hu is her strength and for Lin Hu, Pamela is his soul mate and she makes his life complete.
The day of their wedding began at the bride’s house where many of the enthusiastic bridesmaids flew in from different places and came together to prepare a series of fun-filled challenging games for the macho groomsmen. It started with getting well wishes from neighbours and ended with project runway ballerina poses. The groom then declared a special moment to his bride in a ‘Romeo & Juliet’ setting.
The couple then had their traditional tea ceremony with family members at the bride’s house then the groom’s house. The tea ceremony signifies their acceptance by each other’s families.
Soon it was time for the bride to toss the bridal bouquet and it was caught by one of her gorgeous bridesmaids, Shir Ley. Colourful helium balloons were then released that filled the skies and were so breathtakingly beautiful!
The evening began with the couple exchanging their vows at the arch at the cocktails and the rest of the night was filled with classical love songs and touching, well polished speeches from the groom and both dad’s and the most unique, sensational speech and slide/video presentation from their best friend, Kheng Lian who flew all the way back from Adelaide for their wedding that almost had the couple in tears. To top it all, the groom surprised his bride with a video presentation he had made from the first day they met. The night was so magical!
The couple and their family toast with their six hundred family and friends, some of whom have travelled from Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and around Malaysia to share in this special occasion.
It was enjoyable working with this couple as they both were pleasant, fun and easy to work with.
Their message to Digimax:
Lee, Low and Ah Beng, it has been wonderful working with you!! Thank you for the useful tips you have given us while we were in the stage of our preparation and for a remarkable job well done.
Much regards from the newly wed Mr and Mrs Ong.

Meet our lovely couple, Jordan Muslim guy Misarah Zreaqat & Buddhist girl Sze Ming
– “Where It Happened … Two Hearts and a Tune”
Six years ago, early 2008 their journey started with admiration and love at first sight. The Chemistry between them was very strong and even biology, physics and mathematics probably. He was a 27-year old part-time English teacher while at the same time doing his postgraduate studies in Malaysia. She was a 21-year old part-time admin girl while at the same time doing her Law Degree in Penang. They would meet during the day time and spend plenty of time on MSN during night.
Their love grew by days and their relationship got stronger and stronger. The relationship went through some tough times as they both come from completely different environments, he is a Muslim guy from Jordan and she is a Buddhist girl from Malaysia and they both come from very conservative families.
The only thing they had in common was their sweet and pure love, the love that knows no borders, religions, or cultures. They both had faith in their pure love and together they continued despite the many obstacles knowing that everything would come around one day and submit to the power of almighty love.
Three years into the relationship was the time to face these obstacles when he had to meet the parents of the girl for the very first time. His parents then flew to Malaysia to meet the girl and her family and indeed everything came around eventually.
In a short visit to Australia for attending her cousin’s wedding, our man had some other plans. He planned to propose after booking for a morning cruise that they actually missed due to time earning he wasn’t aware of. He thought it could be a good sign as some other places could be better. In a short evening walk in the Hyde Park in Sydney, he proposed to his love and she said ‘Yes’. Six years into the relationship, they decided that it was time to take the relationship a step forward, they decided it was time to tie the knot and start a family.
Congratulation to our lovely couple Misarah & Sze Ming, DIGIMAX video Productions are so happy that are able to be a part and film this beautiful garden wedding. Our editor squeeze his head edited and combined 3 events in a beautiful highlight. Enjoy watching their touching moments and here you go …
