Colourful, joyous and awesome wedding reception of Hazrina and Tariq.
This is a cinematic Malay Wedding video highlight of Haz and Taq. Our lovely couple Haz and Taq celebrated their elegant wedding reception at Pearl Grand Ballroom, Setia Pearl Island Country Club, Penang on 15 Dec2012.
The entire night was filled with love, joy and fun…… Procession walks in starting with silat performance , Kompang performance , recital of doa and continue with lot of dance. It was a heart touching occasion with many laughter, excitement and wonderful speeches by their best friends.
Tariq and Hazrina was first introduced through a friend in 2004 in Kuala Lumpur when Hazrina was just a university student and Tariq, a British citizen was working in Melaka. Hazrina barely remembered that brief encounter, but Tariq developed a “love at first sight” feeling for her but was too shy to continue any conversation with her during that introduction. Nevertheless, she remained on his mind for many years, even after he stopped working in Melaka and moved back to the UK.
In 2009, Tariq and Hazrina was reintroduced through the same friend. While Hazrina thought she was meeting him for the first time, Tariq realised that this was his second chance to pursue who he considered to be the girl of his dreams. What followed then was a short but intense whirlwind romance and courtship between the two, most of which happening over long distance with Hazrina being in Malaysia and Tariq in the UK.

Majlis Perkahwinan Norliza and Mohd Fazli – Akad Nikah (Traditional Malay Wedding Solemnisation). Their Majlis Bersanding was held at Pesta Sungai Nibong Penang on 16 Sep 2012..
(Fazli and Liza Kahwin di Penang, Live in Ipoh and hometown in Pahang !) The celebration was joined by friends and family from different states of Malaysia…Pahang, Terrengganu, Ipoh, Kedah, Perlis,Johor, Singapore..
A traditional Malay wedding in the state of Penang Malaysia, is full of fun and delights but of course it has to start with the “akad nikah” – the formal contract of marriage or also commonly known as the marriage solemnization or wedding vows.
You will have noticed in the video that after the imam has said the words of marriage to the groom, he will shake the hand of the groom. This acts to signify to the groom to make the reply.
The groom must utter those words in one breath and must be clearly heard by at least two of the main witnesses sitting beside the imam. The imam will then ask both witnesses and others whether the groom’s vows or recital can be accepted. If they agree, then the marriage is solemnized and the wedded ones are now deemed husband and wife. And the imam then immediately recites prayers (do’a) for a happy and blissful marriage for the wedded ones.
The ceremony ends with the bride kissing the groom’s hands after the placing of the ring. And they will later in the afternoon proceed for the “Bersanding” ceremony – sitting “in state” on the Pelamin.

Before they were married, they began dating in 2006. In 2008, they were in a long distance relationship where Emily worked as a technical writer for an MNC in Penang while Moe pursued an entertainment career in the capital. Moe is also a host on 8TV Nite Live, voiceover talent, emcee, and has his own talent agency.
For three years they were traveling back and forth to see one another in different states. Now that they are married, they bade goodbye to long distance relationship and has now set up a common goal to see their company grow into a full-fledged talent agency.

Moe & Emily – The Solemnization and wedding reception were held at Chymes Hotel in Tanjung Bungah, Penang on 10. 12. 2011. It was a unique avant-garde affair. The theme of the wedding was Chinese-Malay garden wedding by the beach. It was a small but absolutely memorable wedding that was big in culture where the couple observed both Chinese and Malay wedding traditions–Akad Nikah, Chinese Tea Ceremony, Upacara Bersanding, Merenjis and Makan Beradap.
Moe & Emily are a very very SWEET couple. Emily had a natural smiling face ….kind and helpful person…. her hubby Moe Nasrul…. facing our cameras he is so natural, jovial & articulate!
We love the shots of the Moe’s emotions when Moe describe his “LOVE” circle moments. We are so proud to have them captured by our team…….
